PRE-PREREQUISITE - LEVEL I OR COMPARABLE TRAINING

This training presentation is designed to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in advanced towing and recovery techniques. The course will cover various topics related to resistance calculations, recovery methods, and safety precautions, ensuring that participants are equipped to handle complex towing and recovery scenarios effectively.

Classroom, Hands-On and In-Class Exam

  • Resistance Review – first two fundamental types

  • Advanced Resistance Calculations

  • Gradient Resistance Calculation

  • Weight Transfer

  • Medium/Heavy Duty Front and Rear Towing Techniques with Multiple Fork Options

  • Light Duty Passenger Vehicle Recovery Techniques

  • Cable Barrier Concerns and Precautions

  • Medium Duty Up-Righting Techniques

  • Tow Truck/Winching Source Anchor-Ability Techniques

  • Lift Capacity Calculation

  • Winching Lay Ups and Calculating Line Load

  • Heavy Duty Up-Righting Techniques

  • Introduction – What is True Line Load?
